after i reformatted my computer the computer wouldn't recognize my speakers.
i think that i need an audio driver
    but im not sure

    You do!

Please put your System Specs in your Profile

If you have a proprietory computer like Dell; HP; Acer etc, please manually write this in the mobo field (ie Dell Dimension 3100 - as an example)

So you updated all, and still the audio is not working?

It may be a setting in the audio program, or in Control Panel- Sound/Audio properties
