Problem with dual display

The dual display monitors on my new Lenovo desktop running Vista Home Premium worked fine until late Monday night. Since then, the main one on the left works fine, but the one on the right is black. The power light is on and when the computer jumps out of the sleep mode after I hit a key the monitor lights up and works for about ten seconds and then quits again. The cables are connected. I thought there might have been a problem with Microsoft's Tuesday security update, which is automatically installed. but I haven't seen any mention of problems on the web. I tried using system restore to go back to two different past configurations, but neither one worked. Any suggestions?

Try reinstalling your video drivers. Is Windows XP fully updated to SP3 or is Windows Vista fully updated to SP1?

What will happen if your the connectors of your monitors. I meen, connect monitor 1 to the slot whare monitor 2 is connected now, and vice-versa.?
