Problems Reformatting Windows XP

  1. Right, So I'm trying to reformat a hard drive, I'm using CMD And After I type in the Command FORMAT C: /FS:NTFS It tells me that a process is still using the partition and I have force Unmount the Drive. After I attempt to do this It tells me that It Can't.

    Any help would be Appreciated with reformatting would be great

    You can't format your "C" drive which windows is running. Assuming Windows is installed on C:

    If you want to blow away the OS and start over, just boot with the XP CD and format through the setup wizard.
