I have a GX280 dell optiplex. When I boot up I get this message: Diskette drive 0 seek failure. Strike the F1 to continue F2 to run the setup utility. When I hit F1 it continues to load up properly but it's annoying and not right anyway.
I know I have messed up the BIOS settings in atempt to deal with something else and I did reinstall OS but not sure if done properly (learned my lesson now - I promise not do it again!). I am not an IT professional although quite experienced with computers and I can do something if explained to me properly. I have not tampered with cable connections inside the case and everything seems to be connected properly. OS is XP pro. There is only CD drive and no floppy on this machine.
