  1. In the 7/9/09 posting of TechSpot you recommended RegistryMechanic as "Freeware".
    It is NOT freeware. It is a free download and if you want to use its features you must buy the program for $30.

    This is just the usual teaser of "Free Download".
    Not suitable for TechSpot

    Thanks for bringing this up to our attention. I have now labeled Registry Mechanic more appropriately based on your message.

    Just so you know, the fact that we list a number of programs in our download section does not mean we endorse or recommend every single title available there.

    What we do try however is to list and include software titles that are a good fit for our audience. All downloads that are recommended by the TechSpot staff are labeled as "Editors Choice": http://www.techspot.com/downloads-pick.html
