Program to monitor Internet usage?

Is there any program (or excuse this ignoramus if the computer already comes with one) to monitor which programs are accessing the internet and possibly how much bandwidth they're using?

I've been having the internet hiccup on me several times on different games and I'm not sure if it's a program I have running in the background, something on the game's side, my internet connection, or something else entirely.

If you just want to do a quick real-time look at your current network traffic by application you can open "Resource Monitor" and go to the Network tab. Tick the box for the process you want to watch and the box below will show the traffic for that process.
