everything on my pc is loading up very very slow. I have windows xp, I have norton antivirus. I downloaded webroot antispyware with spy sweeper because I heard about it in another forum. I ran it and it showed some harmful cookies so i deleted them. My pc is still very slow....please help
Using many antivirus can slow down your computer, if you are not using internet or sharing flash disk, these antivirus can be turned off or disabled. You can also try to increase the temporary memory, RAM memory and cache to gain a better speed.
You may have temp file bloat also. Download ATF cleaner from: http://www.atribune.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=25&Itemid=25 It is very safe and efficeint at removing windows temp, user temp etc.. You might also do a defrag and a check disk. Personnally if your norton needs renewing, don't. Give MSE a try, its free and much less of a drag on the system.
