Socom Confrontation and Endwar is what i am waiting for. I am in the SOCOM Beta i heard about the endwar beta but too late 2 get into it.

Well, im getting Socom, Killzone 2, Resistance 2... then i gotta go get a 360 again for Gears 2... poor year for my wallet :/

I got LittleBigPlanet yesterday and I have to say I'm impressed. It's an amazing game. So much fun.

I saw that you got some trophies from LBP today, i've been too busy with Motorstorm 2 (bought) and Midnight Club LA (GameFly) to try Little Big Planet yet. I've still gotta go out and get Resistance 2. I got into the Beta for it thru Qore and it is awesome.

Yeah I still need to get Motorstorm 2 and Resistance 2. R2 isn't out for a few weeks down under so I've still got a while to focus my attention on LBP.
LBP is crazy though, actually playing some of the insane levels I've watched on YouTube (calculator, tetris and the gradius level) is intense. The story mode is probably the some of the best fun I've had with a game when playing with a few mates.

Is Motorstorm 2 as hard as the original? I remember getting a fair way into that game and the difficulty just became crushing.

Since were on the subject of PS3

I figure this would be the place to ask. Does anyone use their PS3 to stream music? I've been using mine to do this since I purchased it. Lately, I've noticed that some songs (all in MP3 format) will not play and say "unsupported data". Thing is, they play fine on my Roku Soundbridge and mp3 players.

Yeah Motorstorm does get harder like the original one did. I figure i'm only about halfway thru it and some races i'm having to redo 3-5 times just to get first place.

As far as streaming music goes I havent had a single mp3 not play for me but I have had a few divx movies not want to play which I believe was caused by certain odd video resolutions they were formatted at.

Yes, a friend of mine streams music all the time with his PS3.

I was reading some of the earlier posts about the PS3, more specifically the post on the first page, I don't believe they would be bagging the PS3 as much now. Also to note, I would bet a months pay that those who were bagging Sony, praising MS for the 360 would fall into the same group that bags Windows and praises Apple. It seems that they always hate the bigger corporations of a particular market because I'm guessing they are jealous. But back to the PS3, some great games coming out at this time of year, quite annoying/distracting that a lot of there release dates coincided with my Uni end of year exam block. I am a little disappointed to hear the release date for SOCOM: Confrontation has been push back to 29th January for OZ , Endwar is a fantastic game, need to buy Motorstorm 2 and Resistance 2 when it comes out down under.

the new socom sucks in many ways, just to get that out of the way. The ps3 was less affordable around the time this thread was made. Its usuallly the less computer savy people that jump from vista to apple's leopard. I dont think you can compare console switch people to pc switch people, the hardware is much more elaborate in most cases The sony lost many titles because of the wide spread of fan bases among all the consoles. I'm glad the price of the ps3 has come down, I'll be getting one soon to go along with my 1080p lcd.

The point I was making was when people are ill informed about certain products, they believe what is perceived to be the common belief, in the case of consoles and the PS3 the perception is that the 360 is better for what ever reason that is rationalized, when in reality both consoles have their good and bad points. Same goes for Windows, it is an obvious perception that windows is a poor product, but thats far from the truth, there is also a perception that OS X is perfect which is obviously also not true. That is exactly how a console switch person can be compared to a PC switch person supersmashbrada, because they are generally the same type of people, the type of people that go and make decisions without initially conducting some research into the products they are considering purchasing, but instead just base their purchase/decision on what they have heard from others, which is a very slippery slope.

It's not necessarily always true that they don't do research, but they find the wrong people to listen to.

Yeah, hopefully it does come out then. It's not official yet.

God of war 3 is hopefully coming out in March 09. How do you guys find PS Home? jtickner1, shall i add you on my friends list. I have motorstorm and GT5 prologue.

I find Home pretty average so far. I got into the beta just before it went public and got all the free stuff There is room for improvement, and it is still a beta so hopefully Sony make those improvements.
