Hey guys,
Its been a while since my last post. Ive been more than satisfied with the psu and gpu combination you guys suggested me a while ago, so far its been working great. Thats the reason im back here to ask you another question considering a right psu for a graphic card. My brother wants to upgrade his pc and he decided to buy PNYs 9800GT graphic card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814133304 but hes also gonna need a new power supply. He was thinking about getting this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817709011 .
Is this one capable with the above mentioned gpu?
What are your suggestions?
*please note that he dosent want to spend more than 30$ on a new psu.

Thanks alot guys, you are the best!

Hmmmm those are some good suggestions but i have a question, what if he decides to go SLI,will 480w psu be enough?

With the 9800GT SLI might be possible on a 430 - 480 watt PSU depending on the rest of the system specs and especially the CPU. I managed 8800GTs SLI'ed with a Q6600 on a Thermaltake TR2 470 watt for a couple months before I got my 750 watt'er.

If he can't afford more than $30 on a power supply, he can't afford two 9800gt, and probably can't even fit them either. Moot question imo, if he has the money to spare, he should just go with a great reliable corsair 450 and a 5770.

I meant if he decides to go SLI in the future not now :)
Plus i dont think he will be able to fit the 5770 in his tower, he has some mid tower acer desktop....it way to small for anything.
Well i guess he is gonna go with the the 460w psu.

Thanks alot for your help guys!
