Question: Would this stick of RAM work in my computer?

I have an Emachine EL1300G-01W. I also have a HP - Compaq Pavilion a1220n Series (DDR2) Desktop/PC.. Looking at these web sites, I just wondered if I could put the RAM from the Pavalion into my Emachine w/out any trouble? It is of the same RAM, just speed it not the same almost. Thanks for your help.

Well the RAM on the Emachine is DDR2 667MHz, PC2-5300, and on the HP it's DDR2 400Mhz, PC2-3200. So the RAM could probably work but it would run w/e other modules you have in there at 400Mhz.
Also you're Emachine only has 2 slots so you probably don't have another slot available in there, but you could try it's RAM it'll take 5mins .

yes that is my cpu. If it doesnt work, is it because of a different chip set that would not enable it to work is that it?
