Quick question about audio recording...

    look, i know this is probably gonna be considered stupid by many of you here but i really need to know...does having a better sound card improve the quality of your audio recordings...:suspiciou

    Short answer, yes.

    If you are recording from an analog source, the quality of the sound card can make a big difference.
    Using good quality cables and connectors, setting the gain properly, etc. also help.

    just search google for diy recording or diy home studio etc.

    I do a lot of my audio related research at the hydrogenaudio.org forums. There are a lot of very experienced and knowledgeable people there.
