Quick USB Question

  1. Hi Folks!

Just a quick USB question. I think I already know the answer, but I want to be sure. Can I replace my current 1.1 USB card with a 2.0 card by just removing one and then installing the new one? When I plug the USB cables from the stuff I am using now back in to the new card, will my computer just see them as the same stuff or will it think I have now hardware. I'm running XP SP1 Home Edition.

As always, thanks for all your help!

    Jeff

Your PC might recognize new hardware (USB2.0-card) but the functionality of your USB-stuff will not change, just work faster if they happen to be USB2.0.
