Quicktime doesn't play video or sound properly

i made a video with my cam then i upload to mi pc then i couldnt open it with any program so windows .told that i should install qt player to be able to watch i install it and then i open the mov but it was lagging i could only see like images or 2 sec of video but i could hear soound perfect any suggestion???
