Radeon HD 6850 force 4:3 ratio?

  1. My GeForce 8600 had an option wherein I could manually crop my active desktop from 16:9 to 4:3 ratio. This is useful for games that were not designed for widescreen and so no matter what resolution they're set at, the picture is stretched on my widescreen monitor, such as Max Payne.

I recently got a Radeon 6850, and I am looking for the same sort of option so I don't have to play stretched games. Does anyone know if such an option exists? I can't seem to find anything like that.

There's probably an option on your monitor to force 1:1 pixel draw - but wouldn't it be better to force the game to do widescreen instead? Go here : http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/ : to get more info on this. Here's another page more specific to Max Payne - http://www.widescreengamer.com/m/max_payne.html . You'll likely have to use a different AR than what's listed on that second page, though. Also, keep an eye out for the Universal Resolution Changer - that might help also.
