Radeon x1950 Issue.

Well, I'm getting the Radeon x1950 for christmas and what ive come upon is that the card itself needs a minimum of a 400 or 450watt power supply. Myself i've only got a 500watt power supply I was just wondering is anything going to happen to my pc with a limited amount of power left? I know i'm not really make sense but its hard to explain. 500 watt power supply - 450watt = 50watt. Will my case fans still run and other things? Thanks

The video card does not take up the entire system requirement, they put that in knowing that there are other things that need power in the system, so they include those as well. They list a requirement of 450watts for all system power.
