Radeon X700 series here 21st September

    The ATI Radeon X700 series will launch on the 21st of this month, and there will be three versions.

    -X700XT, 500/1000 MHz, score 8000 in 3Dmark03
    -X700PRO, 420MHz/864MHz, score 7000 in 3Dmark03
    -X700, 300/500 MHz, score 6000 in 3Dmark03

    All of these cards seriously compete, if not beat their Nvidia counterparts, due to fast memory and clock speeds. Nvidia will probably not be pleased and will bring out something even better for us soon. These cards are obviously stiff competition. The X700 is of course pitched at the NVIDIA GeForce 6600. And apparently, it has a serious chance of beating the 6600 to death with a stick.
