Replaced an existing hard drive with a larger - USED - hard drive. Formatted same with XP Pro OEM disc and installed drivers, etc. Waited for the setup screen, registration, etc. to take place. No setup. Message said "..could not find Array." Can hard drives be for raid systems? Remember this is a used drive- Heaven knows where it came from.

So you had successfully got through part of the setup process?

    If not.

Most likely scenario is this disk was previously used in a RAID array of some sort.

I'd remove the partition(s) etc.. and start again from scratch if the above is the case.

Performed an Fdisk and installed WinXP - no problem. It must have been used on a pc with RAID of some sort. Thanks.
