I currently have two 250 GB Western Digital hard drives. One has 16MB cache and is sata and the other is 8MB cahe over ide. Would i get a performace boost if i were to raid them using raid-0? I didn't know because one is ide and the other is sata with diffrent cache sizes. Thanks

I don't think you can make a hardware RAID from SATA and ATA mixed. RAID cannot happen between different controllers. Maybe if you have some really exclusive ATA+SATA controller..

You can have software RAID but that will be a lot of hassle and you wouldn't be able to run Windows itself off the RAID set anyway.
