Hi Folks,

I have two Dell DIMs 8300. One has 1Gb and 40GB HD ATA and the other 512Kb RAM & 120Gb SATA HD. Is it possible for me to remove RAM from a slot in the 40GB and insert it into an available socket on the mobo to increase the RAM in the 120Gb without causing problems?

(ESD precaution would be taken into account of course)

Sure its possible, if it actually USES the same type of ram. The worst it should do is fail to post correctly. ESD ommitting of course :)

Thanks k.jacko for your speedy reply,

and I wont do any damage other than reducing the size of the RAM in the other PC?
