I just purchased some ram from memorypig.com for a Dell Optiplex GX200, and it's not working...

when I put it in the comp then turn it on, the screen stays black and the computer just keeps beeping.. like ten beeps.

then it just sits there and nothing happens... i put the old ram back in, and now it works. would really appreciate some help y'all.

Domino, I believe that you've figured out by youself what the problem was, contact customer support and get an RMA number for the RAM and send em back.

This can get very annoying when you are not sure what RAM you need to buy.
If you go to this site; http://www.crucial.com/uk/?click=true
You can either scan your pc, or enter the make and model if it's a standard shop bought
pc, and you will get accurate info about what your pc can use.
Even if you don't use their make of RAM, it will likely save you time & maybe money.

read my ram guide in FAQs of this forum. Bios beeps indicate your ram is not compatible.
