RAM "Overclocking Failed" error

I have an old PC I'm using. It's an Asus a8n-32 Deluxe, 7900GT, 2gigs of ram. Last week I bought the same ram I built with the PC, XMS3200 dual x512 corsair ram. The problem is the PC keeps hanging every so now and then. After the hangs, the Overclocking failed error keeps coming up. I never overclocked this system, but the thing seems to think I'm wrong. Never did I have this problem with the one 1gig--it always worked fine. Is there something I can do about this? I changed the slots and it started working again, but I don't know if this is a long-term thing.

"Old PC" and Asus... Asus motherboards have been known for their RAM sensitivity. Some RAM work fine and some don't. You are working ok now, keep your fingers crossed :)
