RAM problem - Weird memory dump

  1. Hello everybody,

I have 2 X 512 MB Ram. the sticks are both TwinMos PC3200.

The thing is when both sticks are connected, my pc behaves strange, mozilla crashes, i get blue screens for memory dump.

when i remove one stick and leave only one working, the pc works fine (but slow because 512 is simply not enough).

the question is, since the sticks are the same, WHY doesn't it work with both of them? I just cant seem to understand why!

mobo is ASUS K8N4-E AMD SEMRON 3000+ 754 socket..

its a long time i have this problem and i just dont get it.. thank you in advance

p.s i upload the two minidump files that were produced today when two blue screen - memory dumps occured.

Have you tested the system with each chip individually. You say it works well with one. Have you tried it with just the other one? Also, when testing each also test in the other socket to see if it is possible a socket problem.

You may just have one bad RAM chip or a bad socket.
