RAM Question

  1. Hey

When I was trying a RAM testing program, when it said it could only use a specified amount of RAM, and not everything. It said that it's windows that has configured it to use only a max certain amount of RAM on a single program.

Does this affect my gaming, like it uses only about 900mb RAM for the game instead of everything that's free?

windows reserves a portion of ram for it's own use. relax - you won't have any issues. If a program needs more than you actually have it will use a page file. Few programs or games use more than 512mb although there are some that can take advantage of more up to 2 gb

I'm sure Battlefield 2142 and World of Warcraft uses more than 512, I have 2gb DDR2 667mhz ram atm
