RAM Speed=Big difference?

  1. I just wanted to ask that whats the difference between a PC3200 and a PC4000. I read somewhere that the speed differences were only 10% between different RAM speeds, So is it really worth it paying for something thats more then twice the price if theres so little speed gain.

Well, it all depends on the manufacturer. Right now im running PC2700 ram, If i was to even increase that to PC3200, I would see about a 40% difference. But as I said, it all depends on the manufacturer.

Anything under 6400 ram I would focus on ram timings rather than the speed.

True that super. Latency timings are all important
