My computer randomly bluescreens...
(heres my previous post with dump files - https://www.techspot.com/vb/topic99770.html

after checking the dump files, and talking to some guys on here, i think i need to swap out the RAM....
I ran memtest, however it even crashes while running this!!!

Some time ago, whilst removing the old hard drive in a hurry (stupidly without anti static mat) i think i may of touched it......

any way, my stupidity aside, i was wondering what RAM to purchase...

I have this motherboard:
ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe PCI-Express Mainboard - ATX

And this is the ram that is currently installed:
2048MB DDR400 Memory - PC3200 (2x1024)

my question is, would i be better off (cash wise) buying 1x 2gb card? or would i be able to buy 2x 2gb cards (i will be running 64bit vista)

if this doesnt work, i will next be swapping out the video card.... but figured the RAM would be the best place to start.

Any advice is much appreciated.
thanks

Ah, harsh, DDR is pricey. I would just go with 2 x 1024MB modules for now because odds are you'll be upgrading sooner than you think and you won't be able to carry the DDR over to the new PC.

Any one of these kits would be fine for you.
