Me and a few of my friends had a forum on eamped.com. The forum was for us to discuss ideas for a game we are planning on starting one of these days.

About 1 week after we got all of the good ideas on there, with no backups, eamped's ISP had a power issue due to weather causing the databases for the forums, as well as the backups, to go bye-bye.

And, of course, we didn't even THINK about backing anything up. The worst part is, we had a LOT of information on there.

I do realize this is our fault, but still...

Oh well, I had to post this somewhere and since Techspot has been so awsome the past 2 years and 4 months, this is the best place.

    Arrrgh !

    You do realize the replies

    You should always....

And you being a support member without backups

I wonder if TechSpot is backed up, it's pretty big

Heh, if I knew how to backup, I would.

If it is based off of copy/paste, I'm good. ;)

TS does have a back up, Every other week ( or month, Some forums are different ) vB will auto backup into a specific location, So if a problem arises they can always restore a backed up version.
