So, I started getting the BSOD a little bit ago when it got back from the computer shop. Now whenever I load up any video file, streamed video full screen, video game, ect. I get it saying

*** STOP: 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0xBFA6EE9A, 0xEDD6DEDC, 0x00000000)

*** ati3duag.du Address BFA6 EE8A base at BFA1C00, Datestamp 3ea96d24

I really need this problem fixed, as you can see it is a huge inconvenience, any help would be greatly appreciated

hi Lord Glaurung

0x0000008E usually indicates an error with your RAM - test each chip with Memtest found here ... www.memtest.org . Although, I'm sceptical as all the BSODs you've received have occurred whilst using your video card. Try updating your graphics drivers to the latest ones. What did your computer go into the shop for by the way??

Can you please post your minidumps so we can analyse your problem further. Thanks :)

Also, ati3duag is an ATI driver. Sometimes 0x8E errors can be caused by drivers but as Spyder points out RAM is often the culprit with these errors though other hardware may be the problem as well.
