It was just fine. After re-installing Vista, I installed the the latest Realtek HD Audio drivers. The volume is way too low. Sound from most applications has noise and I've fiddled with all possible settings. I don't remember what drivers I was running before re-install. Is there some way to bring it back to how it was? Some misconfiguration?

Hey, don't people ever reply in this forum?
