Recent reorg of Security vs OS Software?

It would appear that the Web & Security forum has been merged into TechSpot OpenBoards > Operating Systems & Software. IMO, OUCH.

I've seen comments to segregate trouble shooting topics (good idea), but OS + Web & Security is a massive category and users interested in one are unlikely to be interested in the other.

Also notice the absence of a Sitemap-- perhaps generating one would clarify many things

    just $0.02.

Security & The web or whatever it was called is now Virus and Malware removal.

So there should still be a separation between OS/Software and badware, plus there still is a dedicated Windows OS forum.

    Chasing:

You are subscribed to the forum Security and the Web, there have been 7 new thread(s) and 18 updated thread(s).
    http://www.techspot.com/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=28

leads to TechSpot OpenBoards > Operating Systems & Software as noted -- confusing or at least inconsistent ??

    SNGX is correct.

jobeard, the link you posted does take you to:
TechSpot OpenBoards > Operating Systems & Software > Virus & Malware removal

Ah Yes; I see the navigation cookie crumbs exclude the lowest level "Virus & Malware removal" :)

This attachment is a crude sitemap for TS as exists.
The question of outline hierarchy is annotated, but as always, Julio and the community
    consensus will prevail :)

so what if I had a connection issue? what would be the appropriate section? Or a browser issue maybe?
  7. Julio Franco TechSpot Editor

Connection issue could be Networking (hardware) or Windows OS, if that's the OS being used and the problem seems to be software related.

Then browser issue sounds like something that would go in the Software & Utilities board.
