Recording problems

my computer won't pick up my microphone.

Try installing/running Everest Home Edition to first make sure
- Your computer finds and identifies the device
- Verify which driver is loaded

You can then report back with the info including driver info.

Have you tried going to Control Panel --> Sounds and Audio Devives --> Voice Tab to configure and test your sound hardware. Make sure you have the mic plugged in to the right port... sometimes it's kinda tough to see which is which.

my problem is that my computer won't recognize it. and yes. its plugged in the hole.

how do i find out what drivers i have.
i downloaded a driver yesterday because i reformatted.
but it was a realtek ac97 audio driver if that helps

never mind i fixed it.

one of the converters i was using so that i could go from a mic cable to a 1/4 inch to a 1/8 inch to go into my computer was messed up
