Recovering Overwritten Files

Hello, i have just finished my homework, and unfortunately i have overwritten it with another microsoft word file. Is there anyway at all that i can recover my homework. Anyone please??

That's what the recycle bin is for

You should click on the recycle bin. Then click on the 'name' heading of the list of files. You should then see maybe several earlier versions of your homework. Pick the one with date/time just when you saved something else on top of it. You should (with luck) be able to recover it exactly as last saved.

Note there is a learning process for you - word has it's own protection mechanisms too - look for the way to save your work automatically at regular intervals.

If this fails you, there is software to recover 'deleted' work from your hard disk - it is not really gone at all, but you need a little more experience than you seem to display.
