Red light on motherboard

i recently updated my graphics card to a geforce 480 gtx and new power supply and new case ive notcied a red light coming on where the card sits now everything is booting up fine is that normal ,

You didn't specify your brand and model, but often a red or orange or blue light is merely to signify that the new video graphics card is on and working properly. If everything seems to be working normally, it probably is.
You would have to look up your system on the manufactures website, or the motherboard makers website to see for certain what the purpose the light holds

i solved it the card wasnt sitting right on mobo thanks for yout reply

check the card be sure nothing damage
