Reduce power consumption to download overnight

    ok so i often leave my computer to download stuff at night.is it possible to somehow lower my power consumption and possibly the noise which i am downloading at night?

    Yes you can turn the screen off

    Oh just thought of one :)

    Make sure that your meter is set for night time tariff (at the switchboard)
    Pretty sure it will be anyway ;)

    arghhh.can anyone tell if intel DG31PR mobo can control fan speed or not?cuz my fan remains at a constant speed all the time...whereas on my bro's pc which has intel D945GNT mobo the fan noise changes as if it is going faster when a game is being played or movie is being watched
