Reinstall of XP on Gateway

    Trying to reinstall XP on a Gateway. Xp doesn't see the sata drive when in order to do the install. Any help.

    install the sata drivers. Use your floppy. YOU DO have a floppy right? If not, load them off a CD.

    when xp asks you to load the drivers, press F6 ... you will see the prompt. Floppies contrary to popular belief are still a necessity. I wouldn't build a system without one.
