Removing/Resetting BIOS password on a HP dv9700

  1. Hello everyone,

I'm not sure if this is against the forum rules, but I thought I would post anyway, since I am beginning to slowly lose my sanity over this.

I've recently fell for the old BIOS trap where to remove the password you had to enter the current password, then enter the new one and confirm. I did this (as I had a password before), then I just pressed Enter for the New password and confirm password, since I thought this would remove it.

Now it's still asking for the password before booting. I tried entering no password, I tried entering my old password, I tried space + enter...nothing....
So I am asking anybody that can to please help me reset/remove/bypass this damned master password...
My laptop is a HP Pavilion dv9700 (model no. dv9822ea) and the hash code (code after 3 failed tries) is 12356. I saw that in the stickied thread above people were being helped, so I thought I would appeal to your kindness to help me out...

    Thank you in advance

    Gabriel
