I have a 2 year old Evesham desktop pc using the above graphics card which has become noisy on startup, this goes off after a few minutes, I cured it temporerly by adding a drop of oil to the fan spindle , but unfortunately it's come back.
The card is working ok apart from that. On looking to replace it I have noticed that the same model cards for sale have replaced the fan with a heatsink would this make much difference?.
My knowledge of computers is very limited, and would like advice as to what is the best solution regarding replacing my Nvidia card. I only use the computer for general use, playinfgdvd's editing photographs etc,and as I have a tv card, using it for watching and recording tv.
My Processor is 1.87 Ghertz Intel core Duo
64Kb primary core catche
2048 Kb secondary memory catche
Main Circuit Board
Foxconn 946 7MA series
Bus clock 266 Mhertz

I hope thats enough info on my system, as I said I'm not bothered about a better card just a replacemnt of the same spec.
