LEGAL immigration is one thing, but, ALLOWING these ILLEGAL people, wherever they come from is NOT good for America. Immigration, needs to be regulated. We controlled immigration until 1965, when President Johnson signed the immigration act. It did away with quotas, allowing people who already had relatives here, or, were fleeing from oppressing governments.
By controlling legal immigration, the country can absorb the increase in population, expand housing, infrastructure and allow those here to assimilate into our society.
Now, people just jump across the border, some are caught, given a time/date to show up at a hearing, which is a JOKE because most don't bother. They live under the radar, working for scraps, or the old "doing jobs American's won't do". Well, part of the reason, is because they are "willing" to work under the table for cash, which means they are not paid a prevailing wage. If they were not here to do those types of jobs, then perhaps some of the (as they are called) greedy business owners would raise wages to a point normal legal residents would do the jobs. Oh, but it would raise the cost of doing business. Yeah, or, on the flip side, perhaps some of these (as they are called) greedy business owners could take a little less profit to help grow America.
I don't care who you are, what color you are, where you came from. But, I require a few things. 1. You come here LEGALLY 2. You have no communicable diseases. 3. You learn ENGLISH. 4. Obey the laws of THIS nation. 5. Get a job and work. Other than that, what you do is of no concern to me.
