  1. Hello, today I got infected by ishost.exe & ismon.exe

I found this thread and followed the instructions -
    http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic55406.html

There are still problems left however, my homepage refuses to change from msn.com and certain keywords in webpages are highlighted and display ad's when I hover the mouse over them.

any help would be appreciated, thank you.

    Hello and welcome to Techspot.

You shouldn`t be following instructions that are for someone else.

Go and read this thread HERE.

Then, post a HJT log as an attachment into this thread.

Let me know exactly which instructions you have followed.

    Regards Howard

    Your HJT log is clean.

However, there are a couple of things you should do.

1 update your version of Windows to at least service pack 1 and preferably service pack 2. This is becuse your unpatched Windows is a hugh security risk.

2 Download and install an antivirus programme. The free AVG is very good, you can get it HERE. Once it`s installed, run the AVG updates. Then, boot into safe mode and run a full system scan with AVG, delete anything it finds and reboot into normal mode.

    Regards Howard :)
