  1. Bought 22" L22W-5 SIEMENS FUJITSU monitor on VGA cable, and geforce7600gs graphics card. Running Vista 32edition. Im trying to get 1680x1050. The card is only allowing me 1600x1200 option. In both the nvidia and vista control panels. No option to input a custom resolution. Any advice would be great.

Have you got the latest NVidia Drivers?

If they are old, download the latest ones
Uninstall the existing ones, reboot, and load the new.
Reboot and you should be ok.

    I have a 7900GS and the 1600x1050 is available.

    Thanks for reply..

I had installed the new vista driver for nvidia 7 series, and tryd to get a driver for the monitor, however the fujitu site does not give any drivers as apparently the monitor is a plug and play monitor. Does yours allow a custom resolution option?

Yeah, in the NVidia Control Panel {select "Advanced"}, there's Custom Resolution.

I have a 22" Asus Monitor, and it is still displayed as "Plug & Play Monitor", but I have options from 800x600 to 1680x1050.

Don't know why yours isn't showing it... But I've got XP.

I'd try running the 1680x1050 at 60Hz, all the big monitors I've seen won't go over 60Hz.

Let me know how you get on & good luck.
