Respawning Trojans?

By Smell the Glove

  1. Recently I've been having trouble with mssearchnet and nvctrl hijacking my IE. I use Firefox as my main browser but like to IE as a back up if I need it.

I managed to rid my laptop of them and everything seems clear but they somehow come back.

I've posted a recent HJT file. Is there anything on it that could be potentially bad news?

you must DISABLE system restore after booting in safe mode when removing rootkits and trojans. Otherwise many of them will self-regenerate from your system history files.
after safely removing these nasties you can turn system restore back on.

Your HJT log looks clean to me.

Follow Tedsters advice, and you should be good to go.
