    Hello All!

I was just wondering, for down the line, how easy/difficult it would be to use parts out of my current Dell PC to start from scratch for building a new PC. What i was thinking was either replacing dell's motherboard and using most of the parts inside, or take parts such as the cpu, ram, video card (as crappy as it is) and etcs and put it into a new case with a new motherboard. I'm just curious as to what it would take to do this, or if its worth it. It may not be depending on how long down the line this is.

    Thanks in advanced,

You will have to match up the Dells CPU, RAM and video card to any new motherboard. It makes more sense to buy an upgrade motherboard and buy new memory and CPU to fit that new board. If the Dell video card is AGP, AGP motherboards are hard to find now. it would be wise to replace that dell power supply too. CDroms and hard drive can usually be moved to a new motherboard easily, as long as you install the OS fresh
