if the site is for public viewing without any login n stuff then it can be ripped fully...many sites prevent crawler from creepin up on thr site to certain extent...the same way crawlers/spiders can scan thru the mail database of yahoomail...same with other private sites...

    u thought u can rip rapidshare dont u? :)

    cheers! :grinthumb

"if the site is for public viewing without any login n stuff then it can be ripped fully."

Depends on what you plan to do with someone else's material.

The purpose of the HTTrack Website Copier is for offline browsing. It would seem though that you "want" the content and not just to read offline. I came across this which you might want to consider. I seriously doubt it will influence you in any way, but if you get caught taking someone else's material, you won't be able to say 'I didn't know':

It appears this thread has been edited although it is not known who did it. It was previously posted with he subject: "need urget help to rip pictures of website "

Questions were asked for more specific information and ultimately the posted found a program giving information about downloading an entire website. This appeared to be what was wanted in the first place.

My thanks to whomever edited out the name of the program which at best, has some shady connotations!-
