  1. Over the past few days. I ripped, what seemed like a zillion CDs to my PC using Winamp,. There's a place. Right above where it shows the titles of the tracks\, with information like time elapsed, time remaining, _X Realtime and other stuff.
You can, also, bring up a window.that shows a green line going from left to right. showing download progress.
Just wondering why, and how this happened? The_X Realtimes weren't the same.
For instance. The last CD I ripped, said 5.8X Realtime, above the track titles, while
the window with the green line said 7.5x Realtime. This is not a cry for help, as all the songs came out great. Like I said just wondering. Thanks Ray

It's probably (I'm not sure as I don't use winamp for ripping) the avg for the CD compared to the current ripping rate. You'll find that your rips will typically get faster as you get further into a CD since it's ripped from the inside outward.

you could be right. Next time I rip something, I'll pay closer attention. I saw what you meant by the ripping speeding up the longer it goes. Ray
