Hi guys.

Yesterday I bought ROL from EB-Games... Today, I tried to install it. It froze. My mouse stopped working, no keyboard, nothing. I could still see the install, and my desktop behind it, but I could not do squat... the clock even quit. This happened on the first of 4 disks. So, I booted and tried again. This time, the same thing happened on the 2nd disk... So, I attempted a "clean boot" with no results. I tried to install it in safe mode, but got some "could not install install shield runtime script" This is really ticking me off, but I am pretty sure its not the cd.

I think the minimum recommended power supply for a single 8800 GTX is 450W so your PSU is inadequate for your otherwise powerful rig.

I'm just speculating but could your IDE cable be too long and the signal is degrading? Can you try an 18" long cable or will it be too short? BTW, it should be listed as a 40 pin, 80 wire cable.

YOU ARE A GOD !

I changed my IDE cable, and BAM, no problem atall. Thank you so very much mate!

You're very welcome. Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in awhile. :)

And I compliment you on posting your complete PC specifications. It helped a lot.

Aie. I know what its like to try to do PC repair with no specs... Its like a needle in a haystack... :p
