Router Help

While away on business a storm came through and my backup power unit started cycling itself on and off. Since then when I try to connect my laptops to the wireless network it says they are connected but i cannot pull up the internet. When I docked my work laptop it worked just fine and still does. My daughter can pick up and connect to a neighbors network briefly but not at all to ours. I reconnected an old wireless "B" router and same issues. I tried connecting both laptops directly to the modem and still no luck. Any suggestions out there??

power off your MODEM, ROUTER, and system.
wait at least 30 seconds between each of the following:

1. startup the Modem
2. startup the Router
3. now boot the System

when you get a chance, use run->cmd /k ipconfig /all to verify the connection
