  1. I cannot seem to get the computer I'm working on to stop with the RPC Shutdown Frustration. Same thing happens when I boot to safemode. Because of a visual C++ error message that pops up I'm unable to get to start, run intime to change the shutdown using the shutdown -a command. Any suggestions on how to proceed. I don't find anything related to sasser & blaster in the open applications but it sounds like one of these viruses to me. I have removed those successfully but always able to get in via safe mode or on the computer before so I don't know what this is....Any help is appreciated.

The visual c++error is c:\windows\system32\svchost.exe requesting to terminate in an unusual way
