    well, it's only 'rumored' to be that. But the answer would probably be the usual answer... improve battery life and performance. High-res screens are tough to do right. I don't know the math, but 1280x800 is still a pretty good ppi in a small tablet.

    Nice. Apple release a 7.95 tablet, it sells well, so Samsung release an 8" tablet and then make it .05" bigger, as you know, its a higher number so must be better! /facepalm @ Samsung innovation.
