Runtime error

I recently bought a game called "Red Faction: Guerrilla"
and after installing it, I had to reformat my computer (viruses, trojans, too much crap, etc.). Just today, I decided to reinstall the game. When it finishes, it asks me to enter my e-mail address and the registration key. But, right after I enter the information, I get a run-time error stating:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Program: C:\Progra...


This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an
unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

Then my PC runs a diagnose and repair, automatically, and comes up with nothing, only requesting I close the program. As you can see, it only says "Progra..." so I have no clue what file it is. I also notice, my computer slows down after wards.

If somebody can help me, I would appreciate it.

P.S. If this thread is in the wrong place, then I am sorry for the inconvenience.

P.S.S. If someone could tell me how to look up my PC specs, via the control panel or something (that does not require me to move my tower, just to look ... It is in a inconvenient place ...), then I will happily tell you my computer specs.

I had the very same problem. The solution is to deactivate or put into Game Mode your Antivirus, in my case BitDefender.
