So yea thats the drive I have on my computer, had it for about 9-10 months. Woke up this morning to play a game in my disc drive to have my computer say, "Hey enter the disc". Open the drive and the disc is in there, so I closed it and still nothing.

Looked on my computer and it shows now Blu-ray Drive under my HDD

Look in my device manager and nothing shows up there as well.

Downloaded the drivers from here only to be told there is no drive detected.

I checked all my connections tried them in different ports on the mobo. I tried different cables still nothing. There is power to the drive because I can open and close it and I hear it reading the disc it just wont send the info to my mobo.

Any advice here would be great.

If you disconnect the Samsung, will the My Computer return to normal? It is common for these drives to fail sooner than conventional optical drives

Best mention not to keep them attached when not in use to prolong their short BTU life span.
