Sandisk, Sony, Nikon propose 2TB/500MBps memory card

  1. SanDisk, Sony, and Nikon have announced the joint development of a set of specifications for a new memory card format. The three companies have officially proposed the details to the CompactFlash Association (CFA), the international standards organization, with the intent to standardize the format.

    mmm... sounds tasty, i'm ready! I remember sitting in awe over 1GB on a CF type II card... and now they are fitting 32 GB on a micro-SD. Data densities keep getting smaller and smaller, which is awesome.

    2TB CF card... hell yes!

    I'm actually more pumped for the transfer/buffer speed, considering I used to use 10fps cameras. Buffer forever~
